I am a rising sophomore at Villanova, and am working on earning my bachelor’s degree in Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in French and plan on graduating in 2027. Having been raised French-bilingual, my dual cultural-linguistic background has provided me with a broader insight on differing intellectual and socio-cultural patterns distinguishing linguistically contrasting environments. My interest in neuro-linguistics is therefore stimulated by the plethora of research addressing the interaction of language with personality development, knowledge acquisition, and emotional interpretation (among many other facets of our cognitive evolution!) Having been afforded the opportunity to collaborate with a linguistic professor at the University of Oregon throughout my junior & senior years of highschool, I am eager to expand my exposure to the mechanics of language with a concentration in cognition. Aside from my motivations to advance research throughout my academic pursuits, I am also an avid blues & jazz music admirer! I can not sleep soundly at night without shuffling my flawlessly curated jazz playlist, which pays homage to musical prodigies including Ray Charles, Nat “King” Cole, Louis Armstrong, and Chet Baker. Considering my enthusiasm for neuroscience, I also dedicate myself to delving into the fluctuations of the mind when listening to music!
