Biosketch

My name is Emma Baker and I am currently a freshman at Villanova pursuing a Psychology major with an intended Disabilities minor. As the daughter of a bilingual mother, I grew up questioning the dynamics language plays in the brain. Questioning how my mother could switch what language she could think and dream in versus the language she chose to speak in always interested me! In addition, my own relationship with bilingualism has caused me to wonder why I can understand two languages yet fail to speak both. I am excited to learn more about these things in the LUV Lab! Some fun things about me are that I love to craft and be creative. In addition, at Villanova, I am involved in Special Olympics, NOVAdance, and the Italian club.
