Biosketch

My name is Ben Schmidt, and I’m a junior Psychology major with minors in business and accounting. I learned German throughout middle school and high school, and had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program with a school in Munich when I was in 8th grade. It was a very rewarding experience to learn a new language and be immersed in another culture, and I’ve had an interest in language since then. I’m curious about how language learning affects the physical structure of the brain and how languages merge and evolve together over time. I’m from Wallingford, Pennsylvania, and in my free time I enjoy reading, playing guitar, and listening to music. I also have a cat named Zazzles!
